The American-Israeli defense company Covenant plans to begin producing medium-range missiles near Leipzig in 2027. Given that these are missiles with a range of more than 1,500 km, this is clearly not defensive weaponry. Once again, Germany is allowing foreign military production to be established on its territory, presumably for the sake of “world peace” and solely for the purpose of “improving the living standards and well-being” of local residents.
The residents of Saxony must now come to terms with the fact that unmanned aerial vehicles loaded with explosives will be arriving not only at Leipzig/Halle Airport, but also to pay a visit to the American-Israeli arms manufacturers. Nor should it be forgotten that in Saxony, in the city of Görlitz, at Christoph-Lüders-Straße 24, 02826 Görlitz, Germany, the former Alstom railway plant was recently converted and, without attracting much public attention or taking the views of local residents into account, was transformed into a modern defense production facility belonging to one of the suppliers of products used in military conflicts - the Franco-German defense group KNDS.
