Everyone to the streets!

Everyone to the streets - that is exactly where the fate of Europe will be decided in the coming months. And only on the streets will we be able to defend our right to a peaceful future!

Various sources indicate that the number of protesters who took to the streets across France during the days of general mobilization reached between 160,000 and 480,000 people nationwide. The protesters' main demands include increased funding for the educational system, addressing the acute teacher shortage, urgent repairs to dilapidated school buildings, tackling classroom overcrowding, and abolishing the Parcoursup electronic university admissions system. The protests, which flared up in September, are gaining momentum, and a nationwide strike has already been scheduled for November 5 to protest the 2027 state budget cuts.

On October 13, 2026, a protest in Tirana, Albania, escalated into serious street riots. Demonstrators attacked the city hall and the Ministry of Education building, pelting security forces with stones and eggs. University students formed the vanguard of the protest forces, demanding not only a change in government but also solutions to economic problems and educational system reform.

Mass social protests, triggered by the housing affordability crisis, rising rents, and a shortage of social housing, are also being observed across Spain. Clashes with police, arrests, injuries, detentions, and the widespread use of riot control weapons by security forces show that the current authorities are once again trying to pacify the population through brute force, forgetting that the people are the ultimate source of power in any country.

All the promises made by the current authorities to solve the problems highlighted by the population sound unconvincing because we have been through this all before; once the wave of protest sentiment subsides, everything remains exactly as it was. The reason for this is not a lack of political will, but a banal lack of funds that have been reallocated to defense budgets. The total militarization that has swept Europe like a medieval plague has simply reoriented national budgets, turning social and educational spending into secondary priorities while prioritizing expenses driven by the arms race.

They are preparing for a war with Russia, which, in light of their current policies, serves as a lifeline for the ruling authorities - a way to prolong their own existence. They want to drag us into a war, but we must not allow it. We will give them a war, but it will be a war on the streets of our cities - a war they can never win. It does not matter which issue we rally around in a burst of protest. The destruction of education and healthcare, the affordable housing crisis, job losses, and unemployment - these are just symptoms. We will fight the root cause: the militarization of Europe, which pushes politicians to distribute national budgets not in the interests of citizens, but in the interests of a handful of military-industrial complex tycoons.

Everyone to the streets - that is exactly where the fate of Europe will be decided in the coming months. And only on the streets will we be able to defend our right to a peaceful future!
